About TJX Canada In 1982 Winners was founded in Toronto by David Margolis and Neil Rosenberg. It was one of the first off-price department stores in Canada. In 1990, it merged with TJX Companies, the world's largest off-price department store owner.

Winners are brick-and-mortar-only department stores, offering brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, jewellery, beauty products and housewares, all at discounted prices. HomeSense first opened stores in Canada in 2001 and now operate close to a hundred Canadian locations, including several mega-stores combining both a Winners and HomeSense in one. HomeSense specializes in home furnishings from a wide range of brands, also offered at competitive prices.

Marshalls launched in Canada in 2011, and since then has been offering brand name and high-quality women's, men's and childrens' apparel, alongside housewares and home decor. Marshalls also offers an expanded family footwear department and an exciting juniors' department.
